Jack walked back to his quarters

Down the hall! He had left Shoe at home this time, so she was probably curled up on his bed. He was looking forward to a quiet night, maybe some reading…who knew?

Jack saw Sauk walking down the hallway and immediately moved to join him in the walking. "Hey Sauk where are you headed to?" He had a wide smile on his face, honestly it had been too long since they had spoke.

Sauk felt something inside him do a little flutter-jump maneuver when he heard Jack beside him. “Jack! Hi! Uh- I was just headed to our quarters,” He said, his entire face lighting up just from being near the other man. “I-I missed seeing you,” He added in a smaller voice.

Jack's face lit up. "What a coincidence, I was just heading back to the quarters myself." He offered up a hand for Sauk to take though he didn't have to if he didn't want to. Even though he didn't really understand the Vulcan hand holding stuff, he knew he could always make Sauk feel a bit better by doing it.

Sauk took Jack’s hand almost immediately, blushing a faint green shade, visible on his cheeks and the tips of his pointed ears. So much had happened since he’d last seen Jack- he was so glad to see him, it was taking every ounce of his half-Vulcan control to not pounce on the man and hug the living daylights out of him. “Oh- great!” They were nearing their quarters, and nearing privacy.

He had a wide smile on his face, when he held Sauks hand he could feel more emotion even if he didn't quite know how to figure it all out. He quickly made his way into the quarters, he wanted to spend some time with Sauk in private.

Eshen walked down the corridor, thinking about what to have for dinner.

She walked past Eshen, waving at him with her free hand as she passed. Still wrapped in a blanket with her hot cup of raktajino.

Eshen walked by, then did a double take. Was that Aella... In just a blanket? Eshen waved and winked, laughing a little bashfully, the tips of his ears green - a strange flirtatious flusterment - then entered his and Nalas' quarters.

P’Nelar trotted down the hallway, her steps light and silent as she moved.

The caitian made his way to the mess hall. After his shift he was really hungry.

Allan walked down the corridor. He had also brought along his satchel because who knew what today would bring or what Alizati even needed help with.

At around 1645, Allan walked down the corridor.

Walking out with Saren, Bright sighed and lightly scratched his red hair. "Yeah, i guess so... I too get snappy when I get worried. And hey, no fair! I won't be able to sleep, remember? My single braincell is still running rampant in here." He gently tapped his forehead, still walking along.

"Just lying down and resting your body would be good to you. At least do that," he sighed, keeping an even gate besides Bright. Just a Human and a Romulan, casually walking down the hall, "Like you probably have something that helps you relax, right? Besides work, that does not count, don't even go there."

"Booooriiiiing." He spun around and began walking backwards just for the hell of it, since he was still hyperactive and wanted to do Things. "And.... Er, i might have one, but it's quite loud sometimes."

"What is it? Loud music? Fireworks?" he blinked. "Don't think those are allowed on the station." Loudness and relaxation usually were mutually exclusive concepts, but if Saren learned one thing on this starbase, it was that humans (including aliens) were weird as shit, and Things Just Happened Sometimes. A strange realization first, a comforting thought later. That was why Saren encouraged the redhead to continue.

"I'm a violinist, so it can get pretty loud sometimes." He replied, stuffing his hands in his pockets as he began walking normally again. Surprisingly mild for someone like Bright... Huh, maybe there was more to this red-headed dumbass after all.

Oh. "That's... not that loud, in my opinion. Well, compared to what I expected. I won't mind you playing, if that's what you're worried about," he shrugged. It indeed was surprisingly mild for someone so active and bright like.. well, Bright, but Saren probably wouldn't have minded either way. "Why the violin, specifically? Or... someone chose it for you?" forcing kids to learn how to play musical instruments was, unfortunately, a common practice in parenting, outside of human culture too. Saren was kinda lucky in that sense - Talai or Arinn never forced that... and they kinda didn't have any on Llaiir. That was why Saren grew to be so fascinated by music, later in his life. Not that he would tell you that.

"Sometimes i miss notes when playing, and those can get extremely loud. And well, were you expecting me to play around with rocket powered creepers from Engineering? That too, but that's not my main one." He calmly replied as if he didn't just reveal some of his chaotic projects. But, hearing the last thing, he frowned and bit down on his lip, "....they didn't. I took on the violin because it brought me peace during a troubled moment of my life, and it was given to me by the person who raised me." He reminisced the time he got his violin as a birthday gift from his grandmother, who was also a violinist. She taught him everything she knew, and it helped him deal with the loneliness after.... The incident.

His drunken father almost shot him point blank one day after he messed something up in the house, during one of his experiments. He missed it only by a few inches, but it sent Jack into a panicked run for his very life all the way to his grandmother's house. (Tw: gun mention, alcohol mention, death mention) His brothers didn't do anything.

Saren, being a Vulcanoid, had more sensitive hearing than humans did, and he would definitely hear the high-pitched whines of a violin. But if that helped his roommate, and he liked to play it... then there was no issue. "I did," he answered truthfully, glancing at Jack. "And also that was a very detailed and concerningly specific example that you just gave me." Bright frowned, and the Romulan cringed, quickly figuring out that he should've kept that last question to himself. "I apologize for asking..." good job, asshole. "Should've... yeah. Again, I won't mind. It won't disturb me nor when I'm awake, nor when I'm sleeping." That last one was a bit of a lie - Saren was a light sleeper, and a high-pitched sound would certainly make him jolt. But again - what's a few seconds of disturbed sleep to something that is ought to bring comfort to someone? The Romulan was fine with that. His gait slowed down when they neared their quarters.

Jack sighed softly and shook his head, turning to look at Saren with his signature grin. "Look, it's okay. You couldn't know, so why apologize? It's fine now." Walking along, he slowed down alongside the Romulan and took his hands out of his pockets, fiddling with the collar of his uniform. "And it was, wasn't it? Thank goodness I only do it when nobody's around." He chuckled, returning to his usual self as he turned to look at his roommate. "Thanks, for... Well, the whole thing. I guess i do need some sleep... Sometimes."

"Every day," he corrected, still stubborn, but not as aggressive anymore. "And no need to thank me, I'm doing what I should do in this situation. However if you sometime in the future decide to pull this shit again, I will actually fight you. And jefferies tubes won't save you - I have a pair of eyes there." Ah, no. Still just a little bit aggressive. Threatening someone so that they stop abusing themselves, classic Saren behavior. "Before you rest, just a friendly suggestion - take a bath. You have..." he gestured towards his own face, "Powder?.. All over you? You look like you got sneezed at by a rainbow." The door opened, and Saren stepped in. "Not that I personally care, but it's not the standard Starfleet look. Also I doubt that it's healthy for you."

"HEY, not every day. Maybe three or four times a week." He huffed and crossed his arms, getting all sassy as he puffed out his chest. "And ohohoho, you think you can find me in the tubes? Think again, I'm the best tube worm in the whole station." Jack grinned proudly. But then he looked back at himself and shrugged, "Yeah, a rock exploded on me. I'll take a bath alright."

Maggie took deep breaths as she walked to the lift. She had dressed in a blue Starfleet bomber jacket, denim booty shorts, blue sneakers and a ‘Niners’ baseball shirt. She stepped into the lift with a huff. “Okay Mags!You got this!”

Just like that, Allan was walking down this corridor yet again, to see his boss for ~ private matters ~.

Maggie smiled as she looked up at Dion as she was walked to her room. “Oh yeah! Our crew are miracle workers!” She saw her quarters. “Ooooh! This is me right here!”

She was not walked. Still carried. Dion would not be putting her down 'til she asked him to do so. Listen, why even have muscles if not to carry cute girls? "Aha, we've arrived. Please tell your door to open, dear, I can't do it for you."

Maggie giggled and waved her hand in front of the door, which would lead him to #ens-roode﹢stephax. “Here you are!”

Maggie, after making Dion a lovely egg breakfast had left her room. Waking up earlier then him, and giving him a full meal on the table for when he woke up. Also leaving him some flowers and a thank you note. Now she limped down to Allen’s room.

Maggie blushed as she walked along with Allen. “Well okay, I hope I look good in them at least.” She said with a quiet yawn. “You are rather forward, do you treat all the pretty chicks like this?”

Allan sighed. "Maggie, everyone looks good in the shorts, so yes, you especially will. But to answer your question... yes? I think?" He shrugged, finally walking over to her door. "Now we just open the door."

Maggie smiled with a blush as she opened the door for him. “Course! Here we are, want me to go get me the soon to be shorts?”

Allan had stepped out of Maggie's room and already began to walk towards his own. "Oh! Maggie, do you think you'd want to sign the petition as well while we're there?" He asked as he approached his door and opened it. It wasn't that far, after all.

He walked down the hall, trying his best to hold his head high.

Allan walked down the corridor over to the other middle section corridor.

Down the hall bounced this southern sweetheart, her eyes smiling (along with her mouth).

The corridor again! This time, she was headed to work. Her uniform was perfectly straight (unlike her sexuality), her fur was neatly groomed, and her hair was tied up in a bun on her head.

After having a lovely meal at Surak Snacks, Allan had been chatting in the chatroom and gotten a box together of some supplies as he headed down the corridor to the other section.

And, on the way to the conference room Allan went, suitcase rolling along beside him because they definitely still had rolling suitcases in the 25th century and if they didn't, well, Allan did because they were convenient and cool. It was also one of the ones with the glowing wheels because yeah.

After unpacking from shore leave and actually washing his uniform again, he made his way to the engineering ring, wearing said uniform, full pants even, since he his shorts were in the wash now. He was now on his way to #base-turbolift-2 . (edited)

Heads out of his quarters and towards Allan’s, happy that he has a project to work on.

Renakir headed down the corridor.

She walked with Nia to the turbolift.

After collecting herself she exited her quarter's and out into the corridor heading towards the messhall.

He made his way down the corridor to the turbolifts.

exiting his quarters, Anthony looked down at his data pad, and followed its instructions to the mess hall. Looking up to avoid bumping into anyone.

Max found herself lost in the section 2 corridor of the huge station, thinking she was on the lower habitat level, but got turned around in a passing crowd. The path markers and computer were not very descriptive in their directions, so Max decided to explore this section to see what she could find on her own. Not caring at all about the confused passing glances her mechanical appearance earned her.

exiting the mess hall, Anthony accidentally made a wrong turn, and absent mindedly walked all the way to the opposite end of the corridor. Stopping for a second as he saw the quarter numbers going in the wrong direction he turned swiftly around bumping right into Max* "oh my God, I'm so sorry, I was a little turned around." he said to her. "I need to watch where I'm going. I'm so sorry"

Max looked at Anthony with her fish-eyed glare of her ocular sensors on either side of her triangular head suspended by two bracket joints. She looked quite imposing...until she spoke. "Oh no worries. I was not watching where I was going. I believe I am... lost..."

"well that makes two of us." Anthony chuckled as he looked around "I was heading back to my quarters to unpack. I just flew in from the academy. I'm Anthony Archer, er, uh Ensign Archer I suppose. Still getting used to having a proper rank and not just being called cadet" he chuckled nervously. Extending his hand to her to shake.

"I am Y-34-X, but you can call me Max. I am a civilian on this station, currently in the process of setting up shop...which will not be completed until my vessel is repaired. Should not be much longer. In the meantime, I am acquainting myself with this station, exploring, if you will."

"Well, exploration is why the station exists. You know. I've got some time before I go on duty, why don't we both explore the station? That way we both can get familiar with it while we set up shop."

"I accept your proposal." Max started walking off in the same direction Anthony was headed when they bumped into each other. "Tell me, what is your purpose on this station?"

"oh my purpose. I suppose I'm a pilot. I was designated as a helmsman, but this station has 4 assigned to it and only one ship, so I guess I'll mostly be flying shuttles around." Anthony started to laugh as he thought about his situation. "It's kinda funny, back on Earth, my dads run a aerial cargo business. And I flew for them for a while before I joined starfleet, now I'm basically a space cargo pilot out here. 4 years of training all to do what I was already doing, just farther away."

"how very interesting. I am a cargo pilot by trade, as well as a mechanic. I have spent a great deal of time customizing my vessel to be the best for this purpose, and I do so enjoy my job. Something about dodging an asteroid field, or running a blockade really gives me that excitement I crave."

"I got in trouble one to many times back on Earth for low flying into canyons for fun. Naturally not while on the job. I haven't had an opportunity to take one of the starfleet shuttles out, but I was apart of the academy demonstration team in my final years at the academy." as they walked, Anthony realizes they don't exactly know where they are going. "We should probably have a destination before we start wandering across this corridor for hours. Where should we go? I'll get directions on my data pad."

Max took a data storage stick from her pocket, showing it to Anthony. "would you be interested in attending a holosuite program? I was planning to try out my hover-racing program that I wrote myself. It is very...exciting."

"that sounds like a plan. Holo racing?" he asked as he pulled up his data pad and opened some directions to the next available holodeck "Racing sounds exciting. I wont get cocky, but it might be good training for when I start working with the station's shuttle craft."

"I will explain further upon reaching the holodeck. Meanwhile, we have time to talk of our exploits in piloting. Where are you from, Anthony Archer?"

Anthony lead them across the corridor to the turbolift. Opening the door and stepping in for the ride down to the utility ring. "I'm from Alaska actually. It's where my parents operate the air transport business from. They came into ownership of a company that has been there since the early 20th century. Back when Alaska was mostly uninhabited by humans." he explained.

"I too am from Earth...the specifics of which...-of which...-I do not remember...all I remember is that I did not like how I was treated, so I left and never looked back. I got very good at running away doing so."

"Utility ring." Anthony called out to the turbolift as the doors closed behind them. "That is truly unfortunate. Sadly even in our modern Era, humans have the capacity for incredibly terrible things." he took a deep breath, and rubbed the back of his head. Thinking of how to make the situation slightly less awkward. "At least your away from all that. Out here exploring space. What kinda shuttle do you have? I'd love to come and see it sometime." as he finished that statement, the turbolift began to move, accelerating down towards the utility ring.

"My shuttle is heavily modified...to the point it is not classified as a shuttle anymore. It is now classified as a small freighter. I am happy to keep drifting around the galaxy, offering my trade to those who pay me. It's kept me functional this long." (edited)

Quinn exited their quarters and headed down the corridor, once again memorising where they went to more easily navigate the big starbase they were now stationed on. Once they found a turbolift (the same one they used to get to their quarters when they first arrived, funnily enough) they entered.

He went on his way to the turbolift. His favorite dear turbolift, #base-turbolift-2 .

Dismissing herself from the messhall she made her way up to the #physics-lab where she would continue with her research.

Returning to the corridor from the lab she moved into the intended direction to the fitness suite meanwhile calculating the latest information from the results however turning in the wrong direction, lost in thought she just continued walking to where? Anywhere that would relieve her stress. @Alizati┊Aella┊Nalas┊Renakir

[D] As part of his duties, Alizati had to run diagnostics on the replicators. Apparently the officer who was supposed to do it today was out sick... With the virus no less. Well that meant he had to handle the tasks. The Vulcan-Romulan officer walked swiftly down the corridor, there was no time to waste. It was unsurprisingly empty except for one person? "Excuse me, are you lost?" He asked, perfect Vulcan monotone which was strange coming from a man who looked fully Romulan with his slanted eyebrows and forehead ridges.

Pausing in her tracks her gaze averted up to the Romulan. How many are on this station? It wasn't like this was a Romulan sanctuary. Raising an eyebrow at the monotone, why since their planet was destroyed did everyone take up Vulcan Surak bookclub? Rolling her shoulders back to hold a strict posture she then frowned her eyebrows before inclining her head to aside, no visible knives. That was a good start. "Must have taken a wrong turn. I have not seen you here before." It was more of a question than a statement but held her ground with this stranger.

Alizati's eyes met the officer only to realise... Did he know them? He blinked rapidly a couple times, the only hint at any emotion. He did not make any move to take a step closer, he knew just how strict Romulans were about personal space. It was something he was honestly still getting used to. "There was an announcement about a virus going around. You should be in your quarters unless you are scheduled for work," Alizati was dressed in his uniform, gold stripes and his rank pips. If it weren't for the forehead ridges he would certainly look like the perfect Vulcan. Straight posture, cold eyes, and an even cooler demeanour. He lacked the overt fiery passion that was so common amongst Romulans. "I am Lieutenant.. " He paused for a moment, wondering how to introduce himself. "Alizati ir-Okinawa tr'Kota, but I am known here as Alizati Dzharok, and you?" The Kota family was a well known Tal Shiar house, but perhaps this stranger wouldn't know or care?

The orbs lingered down onto the rank pips. A superior officer nonetheless she had to be cautious of how she approached regardless they appeared to be Romulan, she didn't plan on being stabbed today despite Mr Almighty standing across her the virus was something she was completely oblivious to but decided to be logical about it since she was clearly speaking to someone who worshipped a dead man. "I have just finished my research, Lieutenant. I wasn't aware that this virus was airborne. Is fitness suite out of operations? Considering crew moral and factors of health, revoking access there could cause well... a protest against it. Physical health is just as important to maintain as mental." Her dull tone bled into her word's, she hadn't been in much contact with Vulcans but she did know they shared a common ancestry but didn't explain Lieutenant Romulan Surak here as she maintained her stature as the family name caught her off guard. Was every Romulan she met in some high clan? "Your clanname is familiar." She dully pointed out before studying the features of the male. How dare he get to know her! "My name is Merikh-Sovatha Verlith of s'Khaethaetreh. You are an unusual Romulan, Lieutenant. Are you a follower of Surak? Judging by your posture and monotone if it wasn't for your appearance I would have suspected you were full blooded Vulcan."

As if someone had flipped a switch, Vulcan Alizati changed to Romulan Alizati. His posture remained unchanged, but he allowed himself to show some emotion with a simple frown. If she was familiar with his house name that was... Worrying. It could mean she was acquainted with Jarok, his predecessor, or... Involved with the Tal Shiar. Both possibilities were equally distasteful to the android engineer. With his breathing steady, he clasped his hands behind his back. "Doctor M'ow has ordered all non essential personnel or senior staff to remain in quarters. If this displeases you, you may message the doctor directly," Dark eyes stayed fixed on Merikh, unblinking however shaking ever so slightly as the android spoke. "S'Khaethaetreh. Perhaps our houses have history," What specifically he had no idea, but he was not interested in finding out. "What is your purpose for asking that question? It sounds as if you could hold prejudice towards our genetic cousins," Subterfuge. He never thought he'd indulge a Romulan in their complex 3d chess word games, but his 'gut' was telling him not to let his guard down in front of this person. 'I hope you were right, Saren,' Alizati thought as his Vulcan side was desperately telling him to answer the question outright. Mind games were illogical, giving in to 'gut' instinct was even more illogical.

The hazel eye's sparkled with amusement, there it is. There's the Romulan. Refusing to let a smug grin spread onto her face she aligned her body in his intended direction but allowed a sigh to escape. "It must be a serious virus to have everyone locked up like that." She pondered if he was involved in tal shiar activity, if that was the case she had knives ready but made no subtle movements to indicate she had such thing on her. "Like I said you are unusual, it's merely an inquiry as to why you are unlike the rest of us. You don't seem to portray the attributes of a Romulan Lieutenant. I expected more... Well, how to put it. Hostile. Perhaps even a form of punishment for questioning a superior officer. No, not you however you did not answer my question. Follower of Surak or not the Kir'Shara was interesting though certian aspects of is open for interpretation." Cautiously she took a step forwards, she did not fear this male but more intrigued. A romulan opposing as a vulcan or vice versa, how unusual but exciting. She allowed a predatory grin over her features. "So, Lieutenant. Are you here to escort me back to my quarter's? It would be bad if I were.. to get lost again. Speaking of, what are you doing out here if this virus is affecting crew, Mm? It would be ashame if your pretty little face were to get infected. Say, I may require some more information about this virus if it is okay to ask of course. What are these symptoms, I'd hate to be in direct contact of someone with it right now." She enjoyed teasing those watching them squirm but not this one. A challenge, how exciting.

It was a mistake to indulge whatever Romulan instinct was telling him to continue to play this game. It was illogical. Perhaps trusting his gut was not the right way to go. But his gut was still telling him to keep a distance and that's what forced him to take a step back when the other moved towards him. Despite this action, his face remained unchanged although his breath hitched for a brief second. He blinked twice to calm the shaking of his eyes but kept his attention on the woman in front of him. "The virus is serious, which is why the Doctor made the announcement," This woman was horribly illogical, but he was not going to give away his judgments in his voice. "This is a Federation Starbase, not a warbird," He spoke firmly and authoritatively as he narrowed his eyes. The other's look was not intimidating him, fear was illogical. He felt nothing. "I am immune to the virus and I am senior staff, chief of engineering," Alizati stated, carefully avoiding the topic of his race yet again. He wondered if giving away his job was too much information. Anyone looking at the roster would see his name Alizati Dzharok, Android (Vulcan/Romulan). He would certainly need to talk to Saren about this new stranger to see if he knew anything. "I will escort you to your quarters. As for information about the virus it seems to alter personality, however you would need to contact Doctor M'ow for more details," Alizati was an engineer, not a doctor.

She gave a fake pout but persisted, afterall she was part human. Persistance was key as she decided to switch up her little game as she broken out to a very human grin. "Yes, it is Federation starbase.. You just don't meet friendly Romulans anymore especially after the damage caused by the Empire. I suppose this is a new beginning, it is... Hard from being trained in such brutal combat to sudden peace, it is a change. You know, I always wanted to learn meditation but had no purpose until now though do you know anyone who can... mentor?" She sweetly asked, relaxing her tension and given an soft sway to her movement's. Clearly they weren't biting into it so she became indulged into her human side. "Do you know how to do meditation because I would appreciate it if I had.. assistance. Engineering, eh? You must be repelled by being in a room full of sweaty humans and others but you must like it in order to tolerate it how... chieftain of you.. Probably why I haven't seen you around much, stuck in engineering and all." She noticed the step back which she forced herself to not allow a chuckle to escape. "Altering personality, that's a new one. It's surprising isn't it despite all of the medical staff somehow a virus engineered or not manages to slip it's way in here. I could say some people need to have a change of personality though I can already tell you are not amused."

This was a challenge. His Romulan instincts were in full force and he knew he sensed danger. Saren was right, Romulan instincts were rarely wrong. He took a deep breath and blinked slowly. "You will need to adjust, the days of the Empire are gone," Alizati delivered the words in plain monotone, quite a feat for someone's speaking such an emotional language such as Rihannsu. "Did you not learn Zhal Makh?" He raised an eyebrow, wondering what the purpose of Merikh's statement was. Meditation was not an alien concept to Romulans, in fact they even had their own exclusive form of meditation. One that any outsiders were forbidden to practice. Why was she asking him? He picked up on her more emotional attitude, it was clearly a front. As Romulan as he felt, he was still not very good at reading into flirtations or innuendo of any kind, Dzharok was equally unskilled in such departments. "I only judge others from their work, it is illogical to judge on any other factors," Alizati was not going to tolerate any spacism. He didn't even care if he sounded Vulcan when he said that. He was glad that Merikh stepped back, more personal space. "I do not take pleasure in this lockdown. Tell me, Merikh, what is it you are trying to get from me? If it is an emotional response perhaps you would be best to return to your quarters alone."

She would definitely start digging into this Chief engineer. They were curious to say at the least, with a sigh she let go of the facade as the shoulders dropped. Let the games begin she thought tiresome. "No, I had no time to learn any forms of meditation. They proved futile even if I did attempt so, there was no privacy nor time for that. It is true, I will have to adapt to these challenges which again is proving more difficult than previous anticipated." It was not untruthful, aboard a rapid-reponse team there was very little time to spare. All hands were on alert, the ship rocketing to side to side from weapon fire to gravitional forces. They were all the same, flashing red lights and blasting warnings. It was surprise she wasn't deaf from all of the chaos. You had to sacrifice trust to gain it came a thought, where was this from exactly? "Yes, how logical of you to base your judgement on their work but you like to avoid my question's, don't you? I have no problems with Vulcans nor other species for that matter if that's the impression you are getting." She turned directly to face him, the eyes softening in attempt. "An emotional response. Both Romulans and Vulcans have emotion but you would know that. As for what I want is someone who's not going to stab me." Putting it blankly before she resumed. "You are a curious individual, Alizati. Such thing fascinates someone like myself, it is true you have seen through my deception which I applaude you for however there is always a method for this madness. Though I did not deceive you when I said I was willing to attempt meditation, being a parted from the empire has gave me time to reconsider certian thing's such as belief. I wanted to know if there is a person that is trustworthy." Can one truly stop being an agent, it had always felt like a mission. Everywhere she went, all the people she's talked to. It was a mission, now she had no mission and was lost so now what.

This person could not adapt to changes? Illogical, but he had long since established that. He kept his stoic and serious image, although his eyes his nothing as the shaking grew more violent. She was amused by quoting the infamous dead man though whilst she may never embrace logic she knew enough of the logistics. Alizati stared right back at her into those cold green eyes. He made no move to react or speak. The 'Your logic is flawless', statement gave him much pride, he was indeed very logical, even when he was being Romulan. Aligned with the Empire? As a Starfleet officer? Illogical. Alizati was a lot of things but a Tal Shiar synpathiser was not one of them. He detested such acts, it was illogical to seek to conquer peaceful worlds. The Romulan egotism was probably the most difficult thing to adjust to when he unlocked his memories. Dzharok did not have such a trait, but Dalin did and it haunted Alizati. He did not return the ta'al when the other gave it and instead simply continued walking as if nothing happened. He would certainly need to discuss this with Saren at the very least.

"Took you long enough." The Bajoran joked seeing her roommate exit at last. She began a slow walk towards the turbolift, glancing back every so often. "Something's eating you isn't it?" She remarked. "Like I said. No one wants the strong stuff unless they wanna forget something."

“I don’t- really like to talk about it.” She said, slightly bluntness in her tone. Am’el still followed behind, but was rather weary of anyone she met, and it showed on her face.

She could immediately sense some of the wariness - even if she had no telepathic ability to speak of it showed on her roommate's face and body language too. Rinne nonetheless gave a smirk and walked on. "That's fine. We all have stuff we aren't proud of. Though keeping it inside and bottling whatever it is you're feeling won't help you either, I'm sure you know that, hm?"

“I do, I just need time to get myself to say it.” She continued along, not really paying attention to where they were going.

"Take your time." Rinne smiled and stepped into #base-turbolift-1 first.

She walked out, leading the way to her quarters.

Two was rather lost. It was obviously not where he meant to be, but also not a place he’d ever been. Two spotted Lorin, waving before asking “Um hey… By any chance do you know which ring I’m on…? I just finished work and I seem to be erm…. Very much not where I thought I was…”

“I’m afraid I don’t know either. I just arrived.”

”Oh…” Two did his weird monotone sigh thing, frowning “I suppose we’re both in the same situation then….!” Puff, whom was currently on Two’s shoulder, squeaked at Lorin. At this point Two didn’t really care that Puff bother most Klingons, they were a therapy animal, he didn’t wanna hide Puff every couple of seconds…

“Oh, what an adorable creature on your shoulder! What is it?”

”Well…. Erm, it’s a designation not a name, so uh….” Two was surprised he was so nervous at the moment, then again he was lost and he had no clue how to get back to his quarters or job “And yes i will, it would make sense after all, the efficiency of a individual person would be doubled or more if they work together.”

“I have to make my way to #bioscience-lab, maybe your destination is on the way?”

”I am unsure, I believe my location is lower in the base however, if I remember correctly research is high up…?” Was Two even allowed in those rings as a civilian? Was he even currently in a place he was allowed to be…?

“Oh. Then it seems we may have to part ways. I passed an elevator when I came here, perhaps we can use that to get around.”

“Meet me for a game of chess in the community garden later?”

”Oooh! I’ve heard of the game chess but have never played, would you possibly be able to teach me the rules…?” Two was surprised as to how his first interaction with a vulcan, well, half-vulcan, was going. It almost seemed easier then talking with most other species, more predictable, more… well, logical

“I would be able to teach you, of course.”

Two began trying to retrace his steps, hoping to find himself back where he was supposed to be soon. After he found his quarters, or Delta Delights, he planned to head to the garden.

Lorin managed to reach her post and began to plan her evening in the garden

After the chess game, Lorin walked back through the hall into her room. She enjoyed the game, happy that she could teach someone to play the game that she loves.

She stepped out of the turbolift and walked down the hall into her room.

A bit of a spring in her step, she walked to #base-turbolift-2, looking forward to breakfast.

She stepped out of the turbolift and made her way to her quarters.

With the fluffy dog, Renakir headed to the quarters of a certain ensign.

She made her way down the hall, her dog walking calmly beside her. She gave her a pat on the head before reaching the turbolift.

Once the turbolift arrived, he padded towards his quarters, swiveling his head around this way and that so his eye could see everything. Eventually, he found his quarters.

Already back in the corridor, he once again headed to the turbolifts.

Slipping past all the busy and not-so-busy ensigns, he made his way to the turbolifts.

She made her way down the corridor to #section-ii-mess-hall

Elwyn's smile was infectious, even for the stoic Vulcan man who's lips curled ever so slightly when she returned the compliment. He didn't say anything, choosing to express his gratitude through his eyes and a small squeeze of their hands as they stepped off the lift and into the corridor. Thankfully, there were not many people walking about that day. It was a lot less crowded than the promenade, that was for sure. With their hands still clasped, Alizati began to walk down the corridor. It seemed like no one was paying them much mind, although a Vulcanoid man and a human girl holding hands certainly would raise questions if a Vulcan or Romulan were to see them. "Are you doing alright?" Alizati was purposefully walking a bit slower, trying to avoid running into others but also he didn't want to push Elwyn to move too fast. He had a feeling her mind was still swirling with a mix of emotions, he just hoped his words were enough to calm the typhoon until they arrived at her quarters.

Elwyn walked down the corridor quietly as she held Alizati’s hand, all the while trying to focus on the positive thoughts rather than negative ones. Everything her mentor had said to her repeated over and over in her head, with only the occasional interruption of one of the mean things the mean man said. When the other android asked if she was doing alright she took a moment to think before replying. “Yeah, I think so…” She replied quietly. “I keep trying to focus on everything you’ve said instead of… You know.” She added. “You’ve helped a lot. Out of all the mentors I’ve ever had, which is admittedly not really any, I think I’d put you in second place on my “Bestness Scale of Best Mentors”, just behind my Pa.” Elwyn said as she looked up at her mentor with a small smile.

It was a good thing his creator had given him the sensitivity Vulcanoid hearing so he could clearly hear Elwyn's soft voice over the other sounds in the corridor. Not that it was particularly loud, but Alizati was able to focus just on her voice. As they walked and in hand he took in ever word she said, his expression unchanged but his mechanical heart warm at her words. "Bestness Scale of Best Mentors," Alizati repeated the string of words with a thoughtful tone, nodding as he looked down at Elwyn. "I am honoured to hear that. I only want to see you flourish and grow," Alizati did not believe in ranking mentors, however the compliment was definitely appreciated. He squeezed Elwyn's hand again. "I do hope more people can be added to that list. You deserve to be surrounded by others who will support and encourage you," He spoke sincerely, even if that sincerity was hard to pick out through his Vulcan speech. The pair soon arrived at Elwyn's quarters where Alizati stopped and offered out his other hand for Elwyn to hold.

As Alizati said he wanted to see her flourish and grow Elwyn smiled more, a warm happy feeling briefly taking her over as she turned to take his other hand, all while looking up at him with a sparkle in her eyes. "I do too." She replied softly. "I like making friends, and I'd like to make more, but I'm happy with the ones I currently have, including you." The young android added as she squeezed his hands instead of the other way around. In this moment, even if only for a second, the bad thoughts had been completely flooded out by good ones.

Elwyn's hand felt warm against his much cooler skin, but the warmth was not unwelcome. Alizati didn't mind running a little cold, he allowed him to appreciate the warmth of others more. The sparkling green eyes of the young android and the way her fingers curled around his own made him feel as if Elwyn could be his own daughter-- or sister. A brief thought about his own sister flashed in his mind. He hoped T'Lhai would be just as kind and sincere as Elwyn. "I am sure you will make many more," Because they lived forever, well, had the potential to anyway. He didn't mention what a double-edged sword that was, wanting the younger to appreciate all the joys she had in her life currently. "May I hug you again?" A second hug, in public? Not scandalous at all because he cared Elwyn and if anything he wanted everyone to know so no one would ever mess with her again. Perhaps if they knew the chief engineer had her back anyone thinking of causing trouble for the young android would reconsider.

"Of course!" Came Elwyn's immediate reply to the hug request. She immediately wrapped her arms around her mentor again, the warm and fuzzy happy feeling returning once more. "I love hugs." She added quietly as she enjoyed this moment of comfort. She knew she was safe around Alizati, so hugging him felt extra nice. After a short moment of quiet she looked up at him again, still hugging him. "Thank you." The young android said with a smile.

As soon as he got the younger's consent, Alizati wrapped his arms around the woman once again. He didn't have touch telepathy, but their connection when they embraced was unmistakable. It was like a light jolt of electricity was dancing from his shoulder down to the tips of his fingers. He felt warmth, but not only physical warm, but emotional warmth. He had felt this emotion before. What was it? Happiness. "I feel happiness when I am with you," He said the word, still a little unsure if that was the appropriate name to give what he was feeling. It was illogical that he would feel uncertain about such a thing as this was hardly the first time he felt such emotion. Still, Alizati's mind was more focused on comforting Elwyn than analysing his own feelings. "You're welcome, Elwyn. And if you need anything I am never too far away."

"I feel happiness when I am with you, too!" Elwyn replied warmly, a sparkle still in her eyes as she looked up at her mentor with a smile. She was glad Alizati felt happiness when he was around her. "And you know where I am if you need anything as well. We still need to play kal-toh some time, now that I'm thinking about it." The young android added, a smile still on her face.

"Kal-toh, yes we will play some time. I will introduce you to the Furberus, my Kal-toh playing machine who acts 'like a terran cat'," Alizati almost smiled at that moment. Not just because he loved his mechanical pet, but because talking about them reminded him of his friends who had grew fond of the mechanical monstrosity. Allan, Mo, Eshen, even the enigmatic Zero seemed to have grown attached to the fluffy three headed beast. Alizati reluctantly stepped back from Elwyn even though he had wished he could have kept holding her. "I will file a report about this incident. Stay well, Elwyn," He didn't know if that mean stranger had left the station, but part of him wished he was still around so he could get punished. Alizati's gaze was warm, even without smiling, he looked... Happy. As much as a Vulcan could at least.

Elwyn's eyes practically lit up upon hearing about the Furberus, whatever it was. Anything that acted like a cat was something she'd love, and would hopefully love her in return! She loved cats! And dogs! Literally all animals and animal-like things! "Oh I'd love to meet it! Them? The Furberus!" She replied with a smile as Alizati stepped back, her hands now moving to be clasped together in front of her. "You too. Message me about anything whenever! I look forward to the Kal-toh!" The young android added as she triggered her quarters doors to open. Once they were she stepped in before looking back out at Alizati and giving him a small wave and a smile, after which she headed in and the doors closed behind her.

Lorin and C’Sara walked silently to the turbolifts, not talking to each other.

Elwyn stepped out of her quarters and headed down the corridor to the turbolift, a determined but excited look on her face.

[D] Maggie walked through the halls and towards the lift with a pair of duffle bags wrapped around her entire body like she was some sort of Gen Z mummy as she walked to the lift.

Now that he thought of it, he should've ledt some sort of message to his friends. Zero context, just the notion that Saren would not be aviable for three days. Little did the Romulan who was entering the turboloft know, that his squad of daehlens was also going on this mission. It was probably for the better - Saren was only 22, he didn't need early gray hair.

She walked to her quarters.

Hal walked to Niatha’s quarters and rang the bell.

As she stepped out into the corridor hall, she walked up to a wall panel. "Computer, show me points of interest on this level."

The computer chirped back a response. "Middle habitat section 2 has a mess hall, located here." The panel showed a brief map to the mess, and Cha'maH Wej's stomach rumbled. Perhaps it was time for a meal. She swiftly headed to the mess hall.

<new> Cha'maH Wej followed the Commander into the corridor, slowing as she passed her room, feeling uneasy and glad she was successfully avoiding unpacking. Surely she'd get around to it but now was not the time.

A good power nap really did the trick for Paco after journeying around, and actually unpacking his bags, getting up and deciding to have some fresh... air... "...Oh right... we're in space!" he quietly said to himself outloud, blankly forgetting where the hell he was for a moment. He stepped to the corridor, stretching a bit as he closed the door behind him, now thinking where to go next. (edited)

It was a great surprise to see someone else come from her dorm. Whoever this was, the two had not met. She peered up and down his blue uniform and smiled. "Hello, fellow ensign. It appears we are dorm-mates." She offered a hand, to shake.

He was caught off guard for a moment when he heard someone, but quickly turned and smiled as he returned the handshake "Seems we are! You also a new guaduate from the Academy?"

"Indeed. What was your major?" Her inquiry was a friendly one, academy talk was always a sure bet to make a friend.

"I took Socio-Cultural Anthropology" He answered with a smile, he was rather proud of it since he also graduated with honors as well "How about you?" indeed, bonding over the academy is the easiest way to make freinds

"Post Traumatic Psychology. It has brought me a long way." Her tone was confident, and she gestured to her eye coverings. "I was under the borg for 14 years. I want to help people recover from similar experiences."

She watched the two Ensigns converse. If she could, she'd still be smiling at this point. Its made her happy to see new bonds form. "Very nice, those two majors are quite interesting I have to say."

"Ahh I see." He said with a surprised look, initially he thought she was cybernetically enhanced, but this was something unexpected. "I have studied the the Borg Collective before, but never encountered someone who actually got free from the hive mind. Thats truly interesting to be honest." He said, facinated as he glanced over to her eye coverings while also trying not to be rude "Glad you got to use that experience towards good Hope you dont mind me asking about in the future" hearing the new voice, he was surprised to not have noticed his superior officer... especially since he was he was quite short in stature "Good day, Commander"

"This is Commander Zellina. I am accompanying them. Excuse me for not introducing you before, Commander. I got caught in the moment."

She chuckled. "It's alright Ensign. I don't mind listening to a conversation once in a while. Do go on." Zellina nodded.

Truly fascinating to be around 5'3 or 5'4 and be probably the shortest person in the room, but he is glad to make good progress in meeting people, he was a bit nervous though "if I may ask, where are you two headed? Maybe I could accompany you both as well" Paco is still quite new to the base, so it would be nice not to be aimlessly roaming around for once (edited)

"Commander Zellina was on her way to check in with other new crew. And I must say commander this interaction has reminded me that I have other duties to attend to in the dorm. Thank you for your time but I am excusing myself." Cha'maH Wej nodded to both, passed by Umali, and retreated to the dorm.

She nodded, waving goodbye to Ensign Wej. "I still have more folks to meet, Ensign?" Zellina definitely was tall, towering at 6'7. Not to mention her build was muscular, so that added to her size. "Was there somewhere on the base in particular you were interested in seeing?"

He also waved goodbye to Ensign Wej, hoping she would find the little gift he left at least amusing "Well, Commander... I was planning to pay a visit to the Research Ring and get acquainted with my new colleagues" As tempted as he was to blurt out 'The Warp Core', Paco had his priority set on not embarrasing himself. "It has been a few hours since I got here after all"

"I can guide you there if you'd like! Maybe chat on the way? I'd like to get to know the people here better." The Aurelian nodded.

"Of course! It would be my honor." He said with a warm smile, glad he wont be lost again "Guess this would be a learning experience for the both of us."

"Absolutely!" Zellina said with a happy tone as she slowly walked to the turbolifts. She was taller and didn't want to have the Ensign have to quicken the pace to match hers.

Paco walked along side the Commander, enjoying as much of his first day at Starfleet as possible "Forgive me for asking, Commander, but how long have you been serving in Starfleet?" he asked, looking up to her while also watching his step as they made way to the turbolifts.

"Been in it sixteen years." Zellina said with pride. "It's my secondary home. Sometimes I still go back to see my family on Aurelia though."

"Aurelia? What is it like there" Paco asked warmly as the gears of the anthropologist curiosity began to turn. The Commanders mention of her family also piqued his interest. (edited)

"I grew up on a farm there, a lot of hard work but can be rewarding. Typically I would do the heavy work with transporting materials... Though the family company got bigger and I felt out of place. That was when I went to the Academy." She stepped into the turbolift, waiting for the Ensign.

He nodded and stepped in the turbolift after her, standing in attention beside the Commander. "How did they react when you decided to go for the Academy? Your family?" (edited)
